Classic Mobile Phones With Nostalgic Effects

There are things or places that make us feel nostalgic all of a sudden; these are stuff that we used to own or maybe remind us of a peculiar event or situation. And once you have been exposed to some those old and classic mobile phones that would make today’s generation react in awe, you may be feeling the same thing once you see them again after such a long time.

Just take for example that 1984 Dynatac which was called the world’s first proper mobile phone. This bulky phone could be used as your car stopper at the same time if you would be creative about it, but back in those days, it would cost you $4,000 to get one! But let’s not go back too far; remember when you first saw the Nokia 5110? It was released 1998 and we thought it was the coolest gadget in the planet. Now, the only ones using it would probably be someone from some 3rd world country or maybe an antiques collector hoping that it would cost thousands of dollars in the future.

Today, we are surrounded by the most high tech and high end mobile phone devices and we just can’t get enough of them. If you love using your mobile phone like we do, we should treasure its history and appreciate just how easy and light your phone is compared to yesteryear’s bulky handsets. Get comprehensive mobile phone insurance for it and make sure you use its modern media features to the max. You only have 6 months from the time of your purchase to secure phone insurance for it; for as little as £2.49 a month you are guaranteed a replacement if your phone was accidentally lost, stolen or damaged. Just remember, for a more detailed explanation, don’t forget to read our terms and conditions.

Making Your Mobile Phone’s Battery Last Longer

Some bad practices have caused your mobile phone’s battery to lose its efficiency without you even knowing it. Understanding the bad practices and avoiding them will definitely make your battery’s life last longer. One of the most common practices that we have seen is leaving the phone charged for a long time. Even when it was already fully charged, users forget or neglect unplugging it off the power plug, significantly damaging its batteries.

Cleaning the prongs or otherwise called “battery contacts” is a good idea to keep your battery in top condition. Using an eraser or some cotton with alcohol to clean debris in the contacts is a good practice as it helps your battery charge and discharge without any obstructions. While taking care of the batteries is a good thing, taking extra care of the actual mobile phone its self is better.

Mobile phone insurance covers virtually any mobile phone bought within the UK and insures it from accidental damages, water damages, theft, loss and even fraudulent calls.  For as little as £2.49 a month comprehensive insurance will cover your phone from these mishaps, but it does not include the batteries. It will only insure the actual phone so it’s wise to take care of your batteries to make it last longer while leaving the other concerns to in depth phone insurance.

Phone Insurance Extended Warranty

When you buy any item in the UK it is covered by the Consumer Goods Act part of which stipulates that manufacturers of any product are liable for any product faults within the firsts 12 month - this is the manufacturers warranty.  That means that if your phone just goes wrong for no external reasons then the manufacturer is responsible for fixing it.

One thing to be aware with this is the law in less than clear on how soon they must fix it.  They might take a month.   That is a long time to be without your mobile phone.

So a mobile phone insurance policy such as ours with 48 hour claim handling is a major advantage over this potential delay.

Also after the first 12 months the statutory manufacturers warranty ceases.  After then if anything goes wrong then you are on your own...

Unless you have a phone insurance like ours which includes Extended Warranty cover

Just another reason to get your phone insurance
