Phone Insurance Extended Warranty
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010When you buy any item in the UK it is covered by the Consumer Goods Act part of which stipulates that manufacturers of any product are liable for any product faults within the firsts 12 month – this is the manufacturers warranty. That means that if your phone just goes wrong for no external reasons then the manufacturer is responsible for fixing it.
One thing to be aware with this is the law in less than clear on how soon they must fix it. They might take a month. That is a long time to be without your mobile phone.
So a mobile phone insurance policy such as ours with 48 hour claim handling is a major advantage over this potential delay.
Also after the first 12 months the statutory manufacturers warranty ceases. After then if anything goes wrong then you are on your own…
Unless you have a phone insurance like ours which includes Extended Warranty cover
Just another reason to get your phone insurance
