Mobile Phone Insurance & Phone Damage
If you own a mobile phone then chances are at some point you are going to be at risk of damaging it. The cold hard reality is that it does not take much to damage a phone. Just last week one of our Management team's 10 year old daughter dropped the mobile phone and the screen completely shattered like a spider's web.
So it went in to be repaired.
Over 2 MILLION mobile phones are damaged every year according to extensive research by Continental Research.
The very nature of the phone being mobile means it is at higher risk of accidental damage purely because it is being carried about. It might drop from your pocket or into the toilet (we cover liquid damage too - an estimated 1.2 phones are killed by this method alone every year according to Continental Research)
So it doesn't take a genious to realise that
1. Your phone is constantly at risk from damage - accidentally dropping it, water/liquid damage etc
2. You should probably get it insured and protect with a good mobile phone insurance
This is exactly what we offer within our phone insurance
Mobile Phone Insurance and Phone Theft
Mobile phone theft is a BIG issue.
According to Continental Research over 1.3 MILLION phones are stolen every year. According to Halifax Insurance that figure is over 2 MILLION.
Either way - that is a LOT of phones being stolen. Who's to say it won't be your phone next?
The unfortunate reality is that your phone - and most people's phones - have a resale value to theives. This is despite all the government and phone industry initiatives like the blocking of phone stolen phone IMEI in a group database, because that only works in this country. The stolen phone can still be shipped out - often to Africa - and used there.
So if you phone is going to be stolen - and we are talking if - then it is very unlikely that you are going to get that same phone handset iteself back again (it can happen but very rarely) - then why not make sure you are insured for such theft and make sure you get a replacement phone back with you quickly and at far less expense than having to buy yourself a whole new phone (which would cost you in the hundreds of pounds) ?
This is why you need mobile phone insurance
