Mobile Phone Insurance and Fraudulent Calls

Mobile Phone Insurance needs to cover you for fraudulent calls and here is why...

But first - what are fraudulent calls?

They are call made without your permission or knowledge, after your phone has been lost or stolen.

Imagine this...

You have lost your phone - or it has been stolen.  That alone is enough of a nightmare - enough of a trouble - to have to do without your phone.

Then, much later you get your next phone bill - and discover to your horror - that the person who 'found' or stole your phone racked up a huge phone bill when they made long-distance phone bills to some other country.

That is probably the definition of "adding insult to injury"

So what happens?

Well, if you don't have mobile phone insurance that specifically covers you for fraudulent calls - then you are going to have to pay for those fraudulent calls - you are liable to pay for them under your contract.

If you have mobile phone insurance which does cover you for fraudulent calls then the insurance will pay for it and cover you - our phone insurance DOES include fraudulent call cover.

NOTE: A number of other phone insurance providers claim to offer fraudulent call cover but the actual definition of it makes it completely irrelevant.  Here is why:

They say you are cover for fraudulent calls only after you have reported the loss/theft to your network.

And what do the network do when you report it lost or stolen?

They cut off and disconnect the phone.  So no calls could possibly be make - whether fraudulent or not.

So that insurance is irrelevant.

Our fraudulent call cover specifically covers you from the moment it is lost or stolen until realise it is lost/stolen and you then report it to the networks. ie you are covered for the gap between it being lost/stolen and you realising it is gone and quickly reporting it to the networks.

Once you have reported it to the networks it then becomes the networks responsibility to cut off and disallow all calls.

Which makes it an actual meaningful fraudulent call mobile phone insurance
