Mobile Phone Insurance and Protecting You
Mobile phone insurance is important. You wouldn't be here reading this if that weren't true
You need to make sure you insure your mobile phone to protect yourself incase you lose your phone ior it is stolen or it gets damaged.
One of our Director's wives lost their phone recently. She was shopping and it was either lost or stolen - not sure which.
Now do you want to be in an awkward position of being without your phone like that?
or even dangerous position of being without your phone?
Maybe you absolutely have to make a call, for your own safety?
Let's hope you're never in that situation - but have you ever HAD to make a call to check where your kids are? Or where someone important is to make sure they are safe?
Thats why you absolutely must look after your phone.
And why you need mobile insurance to get yoru phone back as soon as posible - so make sure you have phone insurance
Interesting update on iPhone insurance changes
This is interesting.
Last week we told you about the necessary changes to the iPhone insurance policy - that loss cover has had to be removed because of very high fraudulent activity...
We anticipated a drop in sales...
But none happened!
At least not to any significant level. The slight drop could be potentially (and hopefully) attributed to losing the sales from those planning on committing insurance fraud to make a dodgy claim. Hopefully we have cut them out.
It seems that the legitimate customers understood the need for the change to the iPhone insurance and continue to insure and protect themselves with this iPhone insurance
iPhone insurance updates
There's good news and there's bad news...
The bad news is that there has been an unusually high amount of fraudulent insurance claims (completely illegal and an imprisonable offense) with our iPhone insurance (a subsection of our overall mobile phone insurance)
Thats bad news for us because it obviously costs us a lot - and potentially bad news for the criminals who try it on because if found out they will face prosecution and jail sentences.
But it is also maybe bad news in a way for other legitimate customers...
Because of this higher fraud rate specifically and far more so with iPhone insurance we have had to change the iPhone insurance policy itself with regards to the loss cover.
To clarify - these loss cover changes are only for iPhones - not for other mobile phones wanting phone insurance
So now, for iPhones only, the loss cover has had to be removed.
This is not the end of the world, because the rest of the policy is a very strong policy and strong enough to stand on its own.
The point to remember with the iPhone insurance is this:
The cover we offer is first rate and at the same time is the lowest price available. If you absolutely must have loss cover then the O2 policy with loss cover is £10 a month – compared to our £4.41 for iPhone 3G phones or £5.99 for iPhone 3G-S phones – so you can see their O2 policy is far more expensive.
In addition, outside of just the iPhone, for all mobile phone insurance policies, the monthly payment policy is to be removed...
THE GOOD NEWS...
The old monthly policies will be replaced with a DISCOUNTED annual policy.
You will get 3 MONTHS FREE on a yearly policy.
Instead of paying the full 12 months, you only pay for 9 months phone insurance premium and get the remaining 3 months FREE.
